What is Power of Attorney?
A management power of attorney (MPA) is a type of POA that permits one person to appoint another to handle a variety of concerns, such as finances, health care, and property. An MPA is valid until the appointed person declines or becomes incapable.
If an MPA holder dies during the term, their spouse becomes the new MPA holder automatically.MPA holders must be nominated by both clients through the use of an original document known as a witnessing document. The witness must be at least 21 years old and not be legally barred from managing finances or making medical decisions on behalf of the signer.
